1. Hobby Clubs
Whether it be walking, gardening, arts and crafts or book clubs, organised hobbies are a great way to stay connected with your community.
In our Federation Villages you will find a Social Club notice board that all our groups use. Join the Knitters and Natters craft group and start creating or enjoy a game of darts followed by a round of lawn bowls. There’s never a shortage of activity in our villages.
2. Day Trips
Getting out and exploring new places is a great way to clear the mind and enjoy a new adventure, maybe even make a new friend in the process. Our villages are surrounded by great day trip destinations and we can facilitate organised trips. This month our Federation Village Sunshine community are off for a bus trip to Port Phillip Ferry and Portarlington!
3. Exercise Classes
Grab your neighbours and head on down to an exercise class to help strengthen those muscles. It’s important to keep active and moving and it’s always easier to exercise amongst like minded individuals. Join in on one of our Tai Chi classes and see if you can improve that balance.
It may seem like a no-brainer, but walking is a great way to get out with friends and enjoy each other’s company while keeping active. Stroll around our gardens in peaceful silence or chat away while keeping up pace. You won’t even notice you’re exercising!
5. Organised Social Activities
Social gatherings are a great way to inject more fun into your life. Chatting with your neighbour at a party may bring you closer together than you’d ever imagined. In our villages there are social gatherings organised regularly. Join in on Friday Feast at Federation Village Sunshine or enjoy a Birthday Bash over at Federation Village Glenroy. It’s the perfect way to feel at home in your community.
